"Winning the Contract"
Government has launched, as from 25th January 2010, an on-line procurement course "Winning the Contract". This is a FREE resource to help businesses, regardless of size and sector, learn about public procurement and how to bid for public sector contracts. The course can be accessed via the Business Link webpage at: www.businesslink.gov.uk/procurement.
"Winning the Contract" is part of a wide ranging programme of initiatives that Government aimed at making the procurement market more transparent, simple and strategic thus enabling more small firms to access, bid for, and win, public sector contracts. It is for people with responsibility for developing their business and will be useful to businesses who want to bid for public sector contracts, but are confused by the processes involved.
