Annual summit of six science cities to share best practice and progress.

The regional political leadership board in Buskerud, South West of Norway made a study visit to Newcastle Science City to learn about regional innovation practices in Newcastle and to share overviews of key priority areas: state of the art and identify areas for future collaboration/projects.
Sunday 4th October 2009
Newcastle University Faculty of Medicine meeting attended by members from the Faculty Translational Medicine Committee and the Board of Clinical Specialties. Newcastle Science City and Innovation Scout led a Break Out Session – brainstorm and capture the main obstacles/frustrations that prevent innovation in the health service, establish what people think could be done.
The outcome being suggestions for simple measures that could be put in place to help to move things forward.
