    VOICE NORTH contributes to NSC’s Innovation machine

    Newcastle Science City (NSC) enlisted the help of Voice North to inform and shape the new innovative businesses it aims to create over the next three years.

     Thirty members volunteered to share their experiences of daily life to feed in to NSC’s Innovation Machine which aims to create companies by providing solutions to problems.

    North East’s most innovative biotech companies celebrated

    A Newcastle company which has developed an advanced system to protect embryos during IVF treatment has won a prestigious award for its innovation.

    Vitro Safe Systems, based at Newcastle University, won the CELS Business for Life Innovation category for its interlinked incubator system designed to protect embryos from external conditions during IVF treatment. It picked up the award at a ceremony held at the Gateshead Hilton in November.

    Researchers creating technology to aid social cohesion

    A research unit in Newcastle is developing technology to ensure vulnerable members of society are included in the digital revolution.
