Due to requests from more schools wanting to participate, we have changed the deadline, giving schools an extra month to submit entries.
Narec, AV Festival, Newcastle Science Fest and Newcastle Science City would like to invite schools to participate in a New and Renewable themed competition.
We are looking for teams of up to 5 Key Stage 3 students to develop a way of encouraging society to think about the importance of renewable energy and of the reduction of mains power.
Schools can encourage as many teams as possible to design either a product or literature, however, as there can only be one entry to the competition from each school, schools must choose their top entry and submit their literature/design to Newcastle Science City by Friday 18th June 2010.
