Estelle has been contributing her expertise in economic development, complex public/private partnership, commercialisation, technology transfer and high-growth enterprise support to Newcastle Science City since March 2006. She is currently responsible for the management of the ambitious Newcastle Science City objectives and targets and the strategic planning for Newcastle Science City. Estelle has responsibility for working with NSC partners and stakeholders to put together strategic bids for projects in order to attract and leverage funding for the initiative. Working closely with Newcastle Gateshead Initiative (NGI) she oversees NSC’s involvement in Business Winning and works with Newcastle University to coordinate the company’s involvement in the British Science Festival 2013.
Before joining the Newcastle Science City team, Estelle was Deputy Head of the City Technology Office, where she managed a wide range of publicly funded initiatives aimed at supporting innovation and the knowledge economy. Estelle’s particular areas of interest and expertise are in economic development, public private partnerships, high-growth enterprise support, European policy and strategy for economic development.
Estelle has been in Newcastle since 1997 when she came from France to complete her MA in International Business Management.
