Friday networking a firm favourite

As Newcastle Science City’s Friday networking events continue to grow in popularity, we are asking for feedback from attendees to help us ensure they continue to provide the perfect informal forum for innovation.

We’ve already had some really useful suggestions from event regulars and we are keen to hear from others about what works particularly well and any ideas of how we can make improvements.

All ideas will be considered as part of our review of Friday morning networking and we’ll make some exciting announcements in the next couple of months about how we plan to evolve the events.

The hugely popular First Friday events, held at Gallowgate in Newcastle, have long been a firmly established breakfast diary date – with over 100 innovative people turning up every first Friday of the month to swap notes with like-minded entrepreneurs and businesspeople.

As well as welcoming back regulars to the Central Bean coffee shop event, organisers have been delighted to see a marked rise in newcomers and are keen to continue this trend. As the network grows in popularity, NSC is changing its registration process – with attendees being asked to complete a brief form in future prior to events by visiting this link

Meanwhile, Informal Fridays in Morpeth – which was set up as a satellite event to extend the reach of the thriving network – continues to develop well.

Held between 8am and 10am on the third Friday of every month at Central Bean in Sanderson Arcade, the Morpeth event consistently attracts approximately 30 people. To register your attendance please access this link.
